Born the fifth child in a family of six, Delores Thompson -Simon
always had a gift. By age three Delores was dancing, singing and
acting up a storm. While attending Crocker Highland Elementary,
Delores wrote a play called the "Singer". During her teen
years she won roles in "Purlie Victorious", "Snowy",
"The Wiz" & "The Blues & Beyond" where
she portrayed legendary Jazz Greats Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith,
& Esther Phillips.
In 1982, she joined television station KSBT, the
Bay Area's first 24-hour African American owned music video station.
Delores adapted quickly to the art of Conducting interviews and
has interviewed everyone from Actor Sidney Portier to Ice Cube,
Delores had the ability to make whom ever she interviewed feel right
at home. After being promoted to Program Director of Soulbeats'
east coast stations V-44 & V-54 Brooklyn, NY, By 1989 Delores
decided to make a change. " I didn't understand what I was
going through to just up and leave the Bay Area like that was puzzling
for me, I would have never thought it was Gods plan for me to leave
but it was"
Moving to Los Angeles in 1991, she landed a job with Inspired Artist
Management. By the end of 1991, with the loss of her father, Delores
began a journey that changed her life. "Although I was always
in the entertainment business, I knew that it wasn't enough to keep
me satisfied there was an emptiness inside me, and I was hurting
for that empty space to be filled"
It was in 1992 while driving passed radio station
KGFJ, Delores made the claim "I'm getting a job there and she
did! Delores worked as assistant to the P.D. and an On-Air personality
until 1997, by 1996 KGFJ suddenly switched formats from R&B
to Gospel. "I couldn't believe it, everyone was fired except
me." One afternoon Delores began to really listen to the lyrics
in a song about three Hebrew boys, who were thrown into a fire and
came out unharmed. "Now that blew my mind and I said to one
of the listeners on the request line I gotta know more about this
story". After buying her Bible and studying day and night,
God ministered to her. "When I heard The Spirit of the Lord,
I knew exactly who it was. God told me that he turned KGFJ radio
from playing secular music to gospel music for my salvation... "My
Life has never been the same since"
Delores moved to Antelope Valley, where she was content or as she
say's "I just wanted to chill in the valley and wait for Jesus
to come back" After hearing from the Spirit of God Delores
excepted a job a KJLH radio in Los Angeles where she quickly became
Southern California's number one Lady in the mid days.
In 1996 Delores & her family became members
of Shining Light Worship Center, Pastor Ed & Frankie Benson.

& The Call to Joy Discipleship Class in which she currently
serves as a team leader, she also taught a class for singles that
was such a blessing even married couples started coming. One later
God allowed Delores to give birth to the Sista Girl Network, which
started during her radio show on 102.3 KJLH fm. owned by Stevie
Wonder.
At present The Sista Girl Network is more than 150
members strong with Sista Girls in Atlanta, Alabama, Austin, Baltimore,
Chicago, Dallas, Oakland, Houston, Maryland, North Carolina, New
York, Virginia, Washington D.C., & Even England.
"I never would have dreamed that God would
use me at a secular radio station to do his will, but than again
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost, So I guess a
ministry at a secular radio station is not so strange especially
when the owner Stevie Wonder is a God fearing bible believing Christian,
in fact it's just like God to use KJLH, Amen"
Delores is the mother of two, Michael Levell Brewer II and
Sunday Alexandria-Avise Simon. She received her Associates Degree in
Theology, from The Sure Foundation Theological Institute. Delores
Thompson-Simon, ACS is a Sure Foundation Affiliate Bible Instructor,
Minister and Motivational Speaker. "The motto for the network
comes from my heart, I was born to Uplift, Encourage, Edify, Inspire,
Love and Pray for all, That's my purpose".
