* Editor's Note: The Sista Girl Network is proud to post ministry messages from a long time friend and sista in Christ, Angela Jackson. Sista Jackson being lead by God started out on a journey going into unknown territory, leaving all that was familiar to her including her job (which many including myself may not have done) but her desire to follow Him and her boldness led her to pack up her four children and venture out into what has become a jounery to produce spiritual maturity, spiritual growth and a faith walk that has birth a ministry of inspiring, uplifting, edifying and candid message's. We Sista Girls are blessed to over the next several months present these messgae's. Read, share and be blessed in the Lord.
From Adversity Comes Greatness
I am reminded that the greatness in all of us comes out of adversity. So as you look at your circumstances look at the opportunities that surround you. I met a wonderful lady who worked for corporate America and was “let go” due to budget cuts... How many of us haven't heard that story. It wasn't her release - (yes I said release) that inspired me it was what she did with her life after her job ended.
The lady I am speaking of asked herself "What do I love to do?." Her answer was cook. She began to look into what it would take to start a catering business and set out to do what she loved. She now caters to many businesses and one of those businesses is a school that I partner with. She cooks with so much love and care. Her tenacity encourages me to continue on the same path... doing what I love and making a living doing it.
I believe God is saying that too many of us, "What do you love to do that benefits others? What need can you meet in your community, in the country, in the world" There is greatness in all of us. We must first look within. We have to dig deep. Many of us will have to "change". This is why there are so few millionaires - we often fear and despise change. Moving out of our comfort zones is often thrust upon us. Imagine if you faced your fears and said "Okay fear you are no longer my enemy but my encouragement."
Reaching our goals is solely dependent upon our perspective. Most of us, if not all of us have each of our five senses. We are already ahead of the game recognizing that we have these abilities. Many of us are still emotionally balanced and physically healthy. Now look at your gifts. What are you good at? What comes naturally to you? As the answers come, write these down. As the week unfolds allow creative thoughts and ideas to come to you. If you remain open you will find yourself inspired and uplifted to create your own personal change within yourself which will lead to change in your circle, community and possibly in the country and in our world.
I wish you all the most beautifully fulfilling week. I pray this message finds all of you well and that it leaves you filled with hope and the desire to take right action. For those of us who have already looked within and are walking in their life purpose I encourage you to share this with at least one person this week. You just might change a life.
Best Day Ever,
Angela Rena
