This month my family will celebrate the birth of our mother Madie B. Thompson. Born August 26th in chapel hill Texas. Below are loving comments from family and friends. We are having a big birthday bash at the end of this month so if your in the bay come on through. Yo Girl Dee
I am blessed to have a mother who is also my friend. However that mother instinct never leaves her know matter how old we get. I still laugh at how Jessie came down (and he was in his late 30's) and went out with Butch. Mom sat in the living room window all night worrying until he came home. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. Deborah Thompson-Austin~
Momma is one of the greatest people on earth. From the moment I met her (from the womb) I adored, admired and imitated her. I loved the way she looked, dressed and styled her hair. My momma is an extremely intelligent woman, I call her to help with Sundays algebra and she does it with ease (by phone). She is loving, giving and very funny. She is the perfect example of what a Sista should be and all that I aspire to be.

My mother is everything to me, she's me strength when I'm weak, my salvation when I'm lost, my nurturer when I'm hurt, my healer when I'm sick and above all she's my hero. She has shown me what true unconditional love means through her words and actions and I thank God everyday for sending her to me and my family.

I would describe Granny as extremely kind and giving of course
as well as knowing, observant and with a keen eye for being able
to see into people's hearts and view their true intentions. She's God
fearing and has been a "lighthouse" to me and my sisters (and parents)
over the years.
